Seahorse Cottage - relax in a TV-featured, iconic Suffolk seaside cottage infused with fresh style and plenty of coastal cheer.
  • Sleeps: 3
  • Bedrooms: 2
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 5 nights

Featured in the magical children’s TV series ‘Grandpa In My Pocket’, starring James Bolam in the fictional town of Sunnysands, Seahorse Cottage really couldn’t be in a better position to enjoy all the beauty of Aldeburgh. Look out over refreshing Moot Green, towards the golden beach and the sparkling sea… all without leaving the comfort of your holiday home!

Sleeping up to four and perfectly primed for relaxation with family, friends or both, the charming house has been freshly renovated in 2017, with clean-lined, light and airy Scandi-meets-nautical style. Whitewashed floors, walls and stylish shutters greet you as you arrive, all perfectly set off with wooden flooring, elegant furnishings, original pieces of art, and cheerily vibrant splashes of colour throughout.

Step into the welcoming entrance hall directly from the front deck, and pad lazily through to the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area – complete with plenty of culinary equipment, cosy seating, a breakfast bar with vintage bar stools… oh, and fabulous sea views through exquisite sash windows!

You’ll find a comfy single bedroom on the ground floor, with the stylish shower room next door making an ideal freshening up spot.

Head up the wooden painted stairs to the first floor… where those lucky enough to claim the master bedroom are in for a treat every morning, watching the sun rising over the sea from the comfort of a cosy kingsize bed. If you manage to tear yourselves away from the downy duvet, why not brew some fresh coffee and enjoy a steaming mugful on the balcony?

For that wonderful feeling of life on the waves, the luxury bathroom features soft, neutral décor, views over the beach, and even a quirky porthole window!

You’ll naturally want to make the most of your seaside location, catching up with your loved ones amongst the soft sounds of the rolling tide and seagulls cawing overhead. The raised timber-decked veranda provides the perfect platform for socialising over a glass of wine, or even for setting precious time aside for that book you’ve wanted to start on for ages (you’ll find plenty of interesting books in the house to browse through if you forgot to bring your own).
