A romantic and historic bolt hole for two, set amongst peaceful Norfolk countryside that feels blissfully remote from daily life.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Dating back to 1900, The Signal Box was moved from its original home at Wymondham station a century later, then transformed into an immaculate rural haven for two.

Surrounded by winding lanes and timeless, tranquil Norfolk countryside, you’ll feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In fact, it may seem as though you’ve wound back the years to simpler times past, as you’re greeted by the charming cabin, elegantly painted in soft colours.

Better still, the views from this peaceful retreat are truly lovely, showcasing the green gardens, sparkling ponds, and the ever-present wildlife. Why not bring the dog along to appreciate all that wide open space, too?

Take full advantage of that soothing scenery with help from the light and bright sitting area on the upper floor (perhaps equipped with a steaming mug of coffee or a chilled glass of wine!) With windows on three sides, you’ll be spoilt for choice of views, while a real flame stove will keep you cosy on the coolest of evenings.

You’ll find a kitchen and dining area on this floor, too – so you can keep an eye on the visiting wildlife as you enjoy those hearty breakfasts! Equipped with an electric oven, a hob, and that all-important microwave, rustling up tempting snacks will be easy at any time of the day.

Simply head downstairs for your comfy double bedroom, complete with an en-suite shower room that’s ideal for freshening up after a long day of exploring the countryside.

There’s a furnished garden to sit out in if you don’t intend to move a muscle (and who could blame you for that?) – simply grab a good book, gaze out across those calming wildlife-steeped ponds, or fire up the barbecue for a sizzling supper.
