The Shepherdess’s Bothy
- Sleeps: 4
- Bedrooms: 2
- Bathroom: 1
- Minimum stay: 1 night
One of three beautiful retreats secluded in the Aberdeenshire village of Newburgh, a stay at The Shepherdess’s Bothy means surrounding yourselves with spectacular scenery in every direction.
For starters, the floor-to-ceiling window showcases the Ythan Estuary – designated a Site of Specific Scientific Interest for its amazing plant and wildlife.
The bothy comes equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a stylish kitchenette and an invigorating shower room, while the superking mezzanine sleeping space is perfectly positioned by a huge window for epic sunrise views.
(There’s a cosy double sofa bed in the lounge for two extra guests, too.)
Take your four-legged friend for a stroll along the beach… within minutes, you’ll be able to spot the Newburgh grey seal colony at Ythan river, while if you walk for long enough, you’ll be led through the dunes all the way to Aberdeen!
All that’s left to do at the end of a long, lovely day is to open a bottle of wine and admire the view from your bothy’s private al fresco space. What bliss.
