The Herdsman’s Bothy is one of three lovingly styled retreats, mesmerisingly secluded on the Aberdeenshire coast with spectacular views of the Ythan Estuary – a designated Site of Specific Scientific Interest.

Savour these incredible vistas inside or out, whether through the floor-to-ceiling window, or with a sundowner in your private al fresco space.

Meanwhile, you’ll have all the holiday facilities you could want, and more besides. These include a well-equipped kitchenette, a refreshing shower room, and a mezzanine sleeping space positioned by an enormous window… ideal for stargazing just before you drift off into a sound night’s sleep!

(There’s a cosy double sofa bed in the lounge for two extra guests, too.)

After a delicious home-cooked breakfast, take your pick of things to see and do in the local area, from wandering lazily amongst the sand dunes, to visiting the majestic castles and ancient whisky trails Scotland is famous for.
