Once a lively 18th century coaching inn, The Ongar Bell is now a sumptuous retreat for up to 12 guests who want to kick back and enjoy holiday life in suitable style.

Owned and run by a fully-trained West End chef, there’s even scope to include mouth-watering catered meals, in a stay that’s guaranteed to create lasting memories with your favourite people.

Sociable and elegant, the central lounge bar is the perfect place to gather together over drinks – whether you choose to chat the night away or challenge competitive types to a game of snooker or darts!  There’s also a large plasma TV for movie nights, and a stunning garden that’s perfect for outdoor dining.

Relax in the hot tub and watch the emerging stars, then enjoy a sound night’s sleep in your chosen bedroom.  Each of the six rooms you’ll find here is individually styled with its own character… so be warned, choosing a favourite could prove a challenge.

If you’re in the mood for the occasional change of scenery, Essex’s infamous Sugar Hut nightclub – a favourite of The Only Way is Essex TV stars – is close by, and there’s plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.  Though we’re willing to bet that once you’ve absorbed the endless delights of The Ongar Bell, you’ll be more than happy to just sit back, relax, and pour another round!
