  • Bedrooms: 1 per unit
  • Bathrooms: 1 per unit
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Comprising 200 picture-perfect acres just outside of London, Colemans Farm is a dreamlike setting that feels blissfully untouched by time. Proudly owned and carefully tended by four generations of the same family, this is a much-loved place where heritage and conservation reign supreme.

It’s also where you’ll discover four adults-only hideaways; each one boasting rich natural luxury and unique elements, to help you relax and breathe easy as you reconnect with the Great Outdoors.

Perfect for reliving those carefree childhood days, The Old Oak is an enchanting treetop haven, expertly crafted within a whispering 500-year-old oak tree.

Two generous storeys are home to a kingsize sleeping space, a squishy sofa, cooking facilities, and even a double bath and toilet, while the expansive veranda is ideal for gazing across the pond and fields (where deer often gather in the mornings) to the lush Essex countryside beyond.

Perfect for switching off in style, The Coop is a relaxed, pared-down space that feels irresistibly cosy… especially when you light the wood-burner and open a well-deserved bottle of wine.

Choose your deck-views from soothing woodland or stirring sheep-dotted fields, as you savour a sizzling barbecue supper by sunset… or take an indulgent dip in the sunken al fresco double bath. Back inside, there’s a downy bed flanked by viewing windows, so you won’t have to miss a moment of wildlife-watching.

The Nook, meanwhile, is the farm’s first hideaway: a ‘Tiny House’ designed and built by owner Pete himself (with a little help from family and friends!)

What to do once you’ve settled in? Pete and his brother Tim will happily furnish you with local suggestions should you need them, but they’re equally mindful of the fact that most guests come to relax and immerse themselves in the charms of the countryside. So if that’s all you feel like doing, don’t worry. It’s only to be expected!
