Set on the soothing rural outskirts of Haverfordwest, The Long Barn is an ideal escape for world-weary families, including their beloved dogs, to re-discover the joys of spending relaxed, fresh-air-filled time together.
The scenic ten-acre smallholding is home to two sustainably-crafted retreats: Cedar, which sleeps up to four guests, and Zinc, sleeping up to six. Both expertly combine raw, earthy materials – think slate, corrugated iron and stone – with touches of comfort and luxury – think rolltop bathtubs, vintage furnishings, and fresh coffee – that make a holiday feel special.
Light, bright, and beautiful, Cedar boasts enormous bi-fold doors that lets the sun stream inside… or you could simply throw them open and embrace the Great Outdoors, instead! The garden is home to a stargazing firepit that’s perfect for storytelling and marshmallow-toasting, and there’s an enclosed courtyard for drinks and conversation.
(Meanwhile, your four-legged friend will have their very own Dog House to unwind in, complete with homemade treats and an outdoor hot-and-cold doggy shower!)
If the weather is chilly, simply light the log-burner inside and settle into one of the squishy leather sofas, before finally making your way to your chosen bedroom – a double and a twin or superking (your choice), both with luxury en-suite facilities – for a sound night’s sleep.
Zinc, meanwhile, features a sociable rustic dining table for you to break bread around, with a super-stylish kitchen that may lead to arguments over who gets to cook! Once you’re finished, you can sink into a Chesterfield sofa and fire up the Smart TV for an epic, laughter-filled movie-night… what bliss.
You’ll have three bedrooms to choose from here. The ground-floor kingsize is ideal if you’re one for watching the sunrise, with French doors that open straight out onto the patio, and an elegant en-suite.
