A magical sanctuary for weary souls, The Little Retreat specialises in restorative, wellbeing-focused escapes that re-introduce you to all the charm and beauty of nature.

The location certainly couldn’t be more breath-taking if it tried. Set within the UK’s only coastal National Park, the Pembrokeshire village of Lawrenny breathes with both ancient history and diverse wildlife.

Secluded in a walled garden on the village’s old castle site, The Little Retreat features acres of untouched woodland, and is bordered by the vast, shimmering River Cleddau… to help you feel magically transported to your own slice of natural paradise.

(To help this magical part of the world retain its immense natural beauty, The Little Retreat is licensed by the Woodlands Champions Club, with a new tree planted for every booking.)

Choose your dreamy accommodation from a selection of luxury domes, stargazing tents or during the summer months, spacious bell tents.

Beautifully furnished for a couple or family, each dome is equipped with a downy superking bed with two singles beds that can be added, a wood-burner, and private kitchen and bathroom facilities.

(There’s even a Smart TV and Wi-Fi… though we’ve got a feeling you’ll much prefer relaxing in your wood-fired hot tub, or picking herbs from the potting shed garden.)

What the guests of The Little Retreat say

“Beautiful fairytale winter break. We had a roaring fire in the dome, huge bed, beautiful hot shower and the best part was sinking into a steaming wood fired hot tub and star gazing when the ground was covered in sparkling ice. Every morning the sun rose across the estuary and we even managed to take an icy dip in the river. There is something magical about a winter break with a hot tub staring up at a blanket of stars. We wish we could have stayed forever.”
“This was my first experience glamping. We had a stormy stay in December which made it feel like camping only you knew the tent was not going to fly away! The warm comfy beds and wood burning stove flickering away made us feel extra snug. I wasn’t sure about hot tubs but these wood heated, no pumps, hot tubs so feel natural and I have to say during a break in the weather relaxing in the tub star gazing we really did feel special. (kept the kids busy too!) The separate kitchen and bathroom hut from the tent bedroom works really well. As a sceptic glamper, particularly a winter glamper, Little Retreats may just have convinced me. I can’t help but think that the wild, cool conditions only added to the experience and enabled us to maximise much of the retreats features.”
