Perfectly situated directly on the promenade at Littlehampton, The Little Lookout is a stunning retreat for up to four guests in dire need of some Vitamin Sea!

A former coastguard tower constructed in 1931, the four-storey building was once used as a lookout during the Second World War, and there have been rumours that Ian Fleming wrote some of his famous James Bond Books there, too… so, what better excuse to unleash your own creative spirit?

Expertly renovated by the owners’ family business, The Little Lookout is now a unique, light-filled gem with white walls, soft wood, cosy furnishings, and plenty of high-end fixtures and fittings.

A spiral staircase winds through the tower, effortlessly connecting you with the delights to be found on each storey. You’ll find the bespoke-crafted kitchen on the ground floor, elegantly accented by stone worktops, and a gleaming gold Lusso Stone sink and tap (translation: even non-cooks will love whipping up feasts here!)

Next up is the indulgent first-floor bathroom, created from herringbone marble stone. Freshen up in the walk-in shower, or take a languorous evening soak in the huge bathtub that faces the sea and river mouth… your choice.

The third floor is home to the sumptuous bedroom, with double doors that lead out to a balcony that’s perfect for lazy morning coffee (for the best views, try setting your alarm for sunrise… it’ll be worth it!)

Last but by no means least, you’ll discover the spectacular living space on the fourth and final floor. Flanked by windows on either side, and boasting a gorgeous vaulted ceiling – not to mention a second, larger balcony for evening cocktails – you’ll be in coastal heaven.

What the guests of The Little Lookout say

“A truly five star experience, with phenomenal views, and gulls flying below you, as you gaze from the balcony, at the ever changing panorama. A wonderful getaway, in an unparalleled position, taking in countryside, harbour mouth and miles of beaches! You are indeed, King of the Castle! This trip honoured my parents, who both succumbed to Covid at the beginning of 2021, but who in fact, gave great consideration to purchasing the tower. Leila and Cal have achieved a truly remarkable transformation, from the original ‘raw state’ we saw, and have skillfully created a wonderful spot to indulge in an English Seaside holiday with a stylish twist. I believe, in a very short time, The Little Lookout, with its magical, high end finish, will be as ‘in demand as the Clavell Tower’, book it now, while you can! We will be back!”

“The Little Lookout is absolutely exquisite: the interior is finished to an incredibly high standard, it’s really beautiful and the view is absolutely fantastic. You are right in the thick of it on the seafront and curious people do peer in the kitchen window, so you might not want to go down and make a cup of tea in your pants. By the evening, and in the early morning, though, you have whole the beach to yourself. We swam multiple times and even drank champagne sundowners out of paper cups on the beach on Saturday evening. (If you like to picnic, take your own beach-friendly cups and glasses, et cetera). It’s glorious. Can’t wait to go back.”

“Leila’s place is really unique and special. We will always remember going to sleep with the sounds of the waves and light of the moon reflecting on the sea. Cant think of anywhere else in Britain that you can have a similar experience so close to the sea. Thank you!”
