The Lettered Board
- Sleeps: 15
- Bedrooms: 4
- Bathrooms: 3
- Minimum stay: 3 nights
Lovingly renovated to a high modern standard, yet still rich in warm traditional features, The Lettered Board is an 18th century Yorkshire pub retreat with four self- contained bedroom-apartments, to sleep up to 15 guests in total. One well-behaved dog is also welcome to stay.
Everyone is welcome in the heart of the retreat – a traditional, ground-floor pub space that feels like your friendly local bar! Chat lively evenings away over favourite tipples, knowing your cosy beds are within easy reach (each room has direct access to the pub via a handy central staircase). There’s a dart board and pool table to keep you entertained, and two wood-burners to warm chilly evenings up a treat.
If the sun is shining, carry those tipples out to the enclosed courtyard beer garden instead, or head into the market town of Pickering to continue your celebrations. You’re right in the centre, after all.
A perfect base for exploring North Yorkshire, you can spend your days visiting iconic places that include the Moors, Dalby Forest, Whitby, Flamingo Land, and the walled city of York (how about a slap-up afternoon tea at the famous Betty’s?) before returning to The Lettered Board for another joyful lock-in with your favourite people.
