You’ll find The Inspiration amidst all this bustling action, yet it is beautifully and securely secluded away in Brixham’s friendly and well-maintained marina. Featuring picture postcard sea-and-harbour views from the private deck, this is a true wow-factor break that will cheer your soul as soon as you arrive.

Sleeping up to three guests, you’ll find everything you need on board for a relaxing time away with your loved ones. The boat is compact in style, measuring a cosy 24 by 9 feet, yet with a deceptively spacious feel… and plenty of room to stand up straight!

Furnished in a contemporary, ‘home-from-home’ style, there’s a comfortable living area, bedroom and kitchenette that form a convenient studio space, with a microwave for cooking and a handy selection of DVDs for entertainment. Curl up in front of the TV for movie night, before preparing a few tasty cinema-style snacks – the perfect way to close a hectic day exploring the local area.

You’ll find a cosy double and a single bed waiting for you when it’s time to turn in, complete with thick, snuggly mattresses and fresh bedding. Take your morning coffee out to the deck and watch the seals playing for a while, as you chat over your plans for the day.

Feel like freshening up?  You’ll have 24/7 access to the large, private, and luxurious single-sex shower rooms at the marina, which is a mere two-minute walk away.  With each room featuring underfloor heating and soft music – not to mention a large mirror, a hairdryer, and plenty of space – you could be tempted to take your time!  (Rather not leave the boat?  Don’t worry, there’s an on-board loo to save any midnight dashes).

What to do next? You could begin with a five-minute meander to the nearest beach for a refreshing swim – there are plenty more to discover close by, that you can access on foot, by bus or by car – or you can head for the local sea pool which is also close by! You can also try your hand at a myriad of water sports, if you’re in the mood for exerting some energy.

If you prefer a bout of lazy shopping peppered with coffee stops, simply take a stroll along the promenade. Feeling hungry?  There are plenty of restaurants to try within a short walk, or you could jump in the car and head for the local retail park, just 20 minutes away.

Oh, and you’ll also have the option of catching one of the regular ferries to Dartmouth or Torquay, where you can to lose yourselves in even more of those timeless, traditional English coastal views.

Things to note

24-hour self-check-in via the marina staff. No smoking, pets or parties are permitted. Please note that The Inspiration boat is a stable catamaran-like structure that is designed to remain calm even in rough weather. You will hear the sounds of the sea during your stay and perhaps seals and seagulls – so bring earplugs if these aren’t for you!  The TV plays DVDs only, with a selection provided for your stay.
