Enjoy an authentic seafaring stay aboard a sleek 52ft trawler, beautifully converted and mesmerisingly situated on the scenic English Riviera, in the bustling harbour town of Brixham.

  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

A classic 50-tonne, wooden-hulled trawler, Faithful offers a dreamlike setting for an authentic nautical stay that demands a little something special.

Moored at the five-star-rated Brixham Marina, there’s plenty of shimmering scenery to feast your eyes upon out on deck, with boats gliding languorously past and seagulls cawing overhead. Just add a glass of something chilled and lovely to feel ridiculously relaxed, as you breathe in plenty of fresh sea air.

Aptly-named, Faithful’s interiors are beautifully in-keeping with the life aquatic: think cheerful coastal patterns and colourful bunting, fresh seafaring stripes, and plenty of classic navy-blue.

Sleeping up to four guests, there’s a luxurious kingsize cabin with a skylight… perfect for saying good-night to the stars as the waves rock you into a gentle slumber. There are two cosy single cabins to choose from, too (please note, sleeping cabins are accessed by a steep downwards ladder).

Your favourite cabin claimed, it’s time to unwind in the spacious lounge area, where you can swap seagoing stories, watch TV, or simply kick back with a steaming cuppa and that book you never seem to find time for at home.

Whip up hearty family meals in the well-equipped kitchen, which also features an intriguing slice of maritime history: utensils that once belonged to HMS Ark Royal, an aircraft carrier that operated during the Second World War.

What to do once you’ve settled in is completely up to you. In fact, you may need to confer around the dining table awhile, as there are plenty of options to choose from!
