A contemporary, light-filled studio retreat with a private outdoor hot tub, pet-friendly and secluded in an East Sussex village at the foot of the South Downs.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Peacefully secluded in Westmeston, an ancient East Sussex village at the foot of the scenic South Downs, The Garden Room is a stylish, pet-friendly studio retreat that brings the outside, inside.

Boasting relaxed, open plan accommodation generously spaced across one level, enormous bi-fold doors span the full length of the retreat, so daylight floods cheerfully throughout. On sunny days, you can open up those doors fully, for joyous al fresco living without leaving the room.

Built in 2016, the modern studio features all the contemporary, high-end features you might expect. Underfloor heating will keep you perfectly cosy on chillier evenings, as you sink into the huge sofa, and fire up the Bluetooth speakers (or turn on the Freeview TV!)

Meanwhile, the kingsize bedroom is primed for long, lazy lie-ins, with plenty of handy storage space that’s cleverly concealed by a full-length curtain. Complete your freshen-up routine in the gleaming bathroom, with its sleek tiling, and full-size bath with shower over.

The well-equipped kitchen features everything you need to prepare a hearty breakfast, and you’ll find a welcome basket packed with goodies to help get your stay off to a tempting start.

Although there’s a comfy dining area inside, why not head out to the patio instead, and savour your first meal of the day over a gentle soundtrack of birdsong and rustling leaves?

Don’t fancy exploring? That’s fine… just relax in your south-west-facing private garden with a good book, then take a well-deserved afternoon dip in the hot tub (perhaps accompanied by a glass of bubbles, if you’re in an indulgent mood!)
