Crossing the glorious rope bridge to reach Bensfield Treehouse will feel like a giddy childhood fantasy made real.  Yet once inside, you’ll note plenty of high-end, grown-up luxury to elevate your expectations of the humble treehouse forever.

Wrapped around a mature oak tree in soothing East Sussex woodland, the interior is both spacious and sumptuous.  There’s a cosy sofa to cuddle up on, a widescreen TV to watch in the evenings, and a fully-equipped kitchen (complete with a gorgeous, goodie-packed welcome hamper to greet you).

The downy kingsize bed is perfect for lazy lie-ins, while the en-suite shower room is ideal for morning freshen-ups.  But if you’re in a more languorous mood, you could head out to the deck instead, and relax in the roll-top bath as you watch golden sunlight dance through the surrounding branches.

Better still, you won’t be short of things to do while you’re enjoying your treehouse retreat.  Not only are the site’s 44 acres of private farmland yours to roam, but there are plenty of charming villages close by, strewn with friendly pubs, shops, and restaurants to while away some much-needed downtime in.
