This bespoke “Tiny House” is a cosy and completely self-contained sanctuary with enormous windows that showcase the wild, wondrous Atlantic Ocean… so you won’t have to leave the comfort of your bed to savour those incredible views!
You’ll find the generous space decorated in soft, muted tones that are designed to instantly relax you, with breathable natural materials that create a tranquil atmosphere to unwind in. There’s no TV, which means your stay will be completely distraction-free – ideal for couples who want to reconnect not just with nature, but each-other.
There’s a modern kitchen to whip up romantic suppers in, equipped with every utensil a self-respecting foodie could want. handmade oak dining table, bordered by those scenery-showcasing windows for unrivalled mealtime views.
Cradle your after-dinner glass of wine out on the ocean view deck, chatting and laughing as the stars come out to play in the evening sky. When it’s finally time to turn in, there’ll be an oversized, bed ready and waiting for you, dressed in the finest linens.
If you can bear it, set your alarm for sunrise and be rewarded with the most magnificent views of the early morning sky over your first coffee of the day! Otherwise, jump straight into your indulgent en-suite shower and freshen up, before planning your day over a home-cooked breakfast.

Set in the beating heart of the village, The Bothan is perfectly placed for you to explore its exceptional natural beauty. Nearby Faraid Head boasts stunning views over the unspoilt Cape Wrath… if you take your binoculars you can watch nesting seabirds on the cliffs, or grey seals gambolling in the water.
You could also head for Sandwood Bay, which is steeped in legend, and see if you can spot the ghost of the bearded sailor.
The Bothan is tucked away just behind the amazingly well-stocked village shop, so you won’t have far to walk to stock up on essential supplies. Fantastic early morning bakery and great take-out coffee offers a simply great breakfast option.
It’s more than possible, however, that all you’ll feel like doing is snuggling up on the sofa and gazing out across that mesmerising Atlantic Ocean… which, in truth, is only to be expected!
Things to note
Check in after 4pm, check out by 10am. One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay, for an additional fee per night. The village is remote, so a car is recommended for exploring the wider area.

“Finished to a very high standard, with lovely luxury touches like Portmeirion crockery, lambswool throw and luxurious bedding. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable! Great shower too. “We stayed in the Bothan for one night on our NC500 tour. It was immaculately clean, warm, well equipped and in a fabulous location. We knew what we were getting – a converted container but it was a great change, and much better than some tired old hotel room that we could have chose around the driving route. Bought fresh croissants and cappuccinos in the Spar for breakfast in front of the cabin and sat on the deck in the sunshine overlooking the sea – idyllic.”
