Pumped full of ‘wow-factor’ style, The Beach Stop is a Grade II-listed garage that dates back to 1934, secluded in the coastal West Sussex village of East Preston.

A working garage up to the 1970s, there are plenty of quirky nods to the past, including the original set of vintage pumps just outside… which now light joyfully up at night!

Once inside the single-level retreat, you’ll note the careful attention to detail throughout, in which period features blend beautifully with contemporary mod cons to create an elegant, art deco-style haven for up to four lucky guests.

Magnificent curved walls add a grand sense of originality, while enormous bay windows allow natural light to flood cheerfully inside by day. You’ll have toasty underfloor heating for cool evenings, and air conditioning when the weather is hot, so you’ll feel perfectly comfy no matter what the season.

Why not relax with a Sidecar or a classic martini in the sociable, open-plan lounge and diner, where you’ll find plenty of soft seating, and a dining table that faces the stylish glass doors? There’s also a luxuriously well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of space and all the appliances you’ll need to whip up family feasts.

If you prefer breaking bread al fresco, simply open the doors and wander out to the furnished patio, with its comfy dining furniture, and a barbecue for sizzling suppers savoured by sunset.

When it’s time to turn in, you’ll have two bedrooms to choose from.  The kingsize master features its own bathroom en-suite, with luxury ceramics and a heated towel rail.
