Spruce Island is a private, 80-acre haven that teems with coastal nature, just off the peaceful Deer Isle in Maine. The island also comes with its very own cove, beautiful views… and just one luxurious, off-grid house for up to 18 guests.

You’ll arrive aboard an amphibious boat that drives and sails – perfect for transporting luggage. Hire the boat for the remainder of your stay and go island-hopping, or simply take advantage of the kayaks and rowing boats on hand at the house. You’ll find fun pirate dress-up costumes gainfully provided, too!

The sociable house itself is formed from two separate buildings. The Main House is home to one elegant bedroom, and a magnificent open-plan room with cathedral ceilings, a well-equipped kitchen, a huge fireplace, and even a swing.

Watch surround-sound movies all together, or steal up to the ‘crow’s nest’ viewing platform on the roof to get lost in dreamy island scenery. You could catch sight of bald eagles, soaring ospreys, and an incredible array of seabirds, too.

You’ll find a further six bedrooms in the Guest House, each one with its own bathroom for the ultimate in convenience. Choose your favourite, then spend the rest of your time revelling in the fun, fresh air, and endless activity Spruce Island has to offer.
