As unlike a standard ‘holiday bus tour’ as it’s possible to get, Scarangar Private Bus was created to unleash the curious adventurer in everyone, personally introducing guests to Cornwall’s most magical nature-spots.
Just grab your favourite people and get ready to enjoy a whimsical escape aboard a vintage British double-decker bus, beautifully renovated and exclusive to you and your guests. Up to ten people can come along for the ride… and don’t worry, no-one has to be the ‘designated driver’!
Neither will you have to struggle with the satnav, or even bring food supplies. Why? Your bus comes complete with a friendly local driver and host. They will effortlessly transport you to each stunning location, be your knowledgeable guide, and even cook three delicious meals for your group each day.
All you have to do is choose from a range of bespoke five or seven-day tours that encapsulate the magnificent beauty of the Cornish coast or wilderness, and you’re away!
You’ll be away in serious style, too. Committed to sustainability, you’ll find Scarangar have equipped your freshly-painted, Scandi-inspired bus with re-used and upcycled materials wherever possible, along with eco-friendly products that promise to make your holiday’s carbon footprint refreshingly light.
However, none of this means you’ll be light on comfort. For starters, there’s a comfy eight-bed dorm on the lower deck. Each individual sleeping pod features a single foam bed, a USB socket, an LED bed-light… and the essential blackout privacy curtains.
You’ll have individual storage space, too – though it’s recommended that you don’t pack everything but the kitchen sink! There’s one of those in the well-equipped kitchen, also on the lower deck.

Meanwhile, there’s plenty of space to catch up all together on the roomy top deck (where the cool kids always sit!) Festooned with squishy couches, pillows, and soft blankets, it’s also an ideal viewing platform for when the bus is on the move.
Here you can crack open a board game, open a good book, or set the perfect background mood with the DAB digital radio provided… your choice. There’s additional bunk-space for two more guests, too, with the same amenities as you’ll find downstairs.
What else? There’s a large awning and a portable barbecue for al fresco summer feasts, and a fun selection of outdoor games to help you work off the calories later on.
Oh, and your chosen tour includes a selection of welcoming campsites that you’ll visit along the route. Each is on hand with clean toilet and shower facilities, a few additional treats… and Wi-Fi, should you need it. Though we’ve got a sneaking feeling that you probably won’t.
