Pheasant’s Roost is a cosy shepherd’s hut for two (plus up to two dogs, if you’re bringing extra company along!), gloriously surrounded by North Yorkshire countryside.
Perfect for first-time glampers who don’t want to ‘rough it’ in the Great Outdoors, you’ll find Pheasant’s Roost lovingly equipped with plenty of little luxuries. There’s a crackling wood-burner with plenty of logs, a kitchen area that includes a microwave, a two-ring hob and a mini-fridge, and a private en-suite shower room with a flushing loo.
You’ll also be supplied with fluffy towels, crisp bed linen, and a welcome warm drink (with biscuits, of course) on arrival.
Oh, and not forgetting the private, wood-fired hot tub – what better way to catch that beautiful golden sunset? If you really want to treat yourselves, you can even arrange for the tub to be heated up especially for your arrival.
Curl up and chat the evening away in front of the wood-burner, or outside in the paddock after a sizzling barbecued supper. Though you’ll feel deliciously secluded from the rest of the world, there’s a TV on hand once you’re all talked out.
When it’s time to turn in, simply head for your downy double bed, and drift off to sleep under the gleaming North Yorkshire stars.
Just half a mile away from the famed Wolds Way National Trail, Pheasant’s Roost makes the perfect base, while you can reach the local village shops in a mere ten-minute ramble.

This is a fantastic retreat situated in a great location with the Yorkshire coast and moors on your doorstep. The owners Pauline and Jim are wonderful and so dog friendly. This is a five star Shepherd’s Hut and location, and five star owners. Highly recommended.”
