You wouldn’t immediately guess that Parcel Puits Carré is just two hours away from the bright lights and bustle of Paris.

Privately set amongst vast, magical countryside in Normandy’s Perche Regional National Park, there’s a distinct feeling of time put on pause, so you can unwind and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty without feeling rushed.

Lovingly eco-designed in France, the Tiny House itself is part of a small network of retreats that are purpose-built for relaxation amongst nature, each one secluded on pure, private land in collaboration with their passionate farmer-and-wine-grower owners.

Purposefully TV and Wi-Fi free, you can freely immerse your weary souls in the charms of the Great Outdoors, to feel perfectly refreshed and revived.

And so Parcel Puits Carré forms part of rolling, wide open valley and forest land that belongs to Sabine; formerly a French teacher and now an expert breeder of pure-bred Spanish horses. On arrival you’ll get to meet the beautiful horses and watch them graze in the meadow… right from the comfort of your bed.

Particularly ideal for a small family getaway, the retreat sleeps two adults, one child, and one baby (up to 3 years, cot available on request) in off-grid comfort. And with well-behaved dogs also welcome, there’s no need to leave your best four-legged friend at home, either!

This may be slowed-down, off-grid living, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be ‘roughing it’. You’ll find every holiday convenience you could ask for is gainfully provided, including fresh sheets, a well-equipped kitchen, and an eco-shower with a stack of fluffy towels to wrap up in.

And since you’re in France – a country where gastronomy reigns supreme – you’ll also have the opportunity to order a selection of fine local produce for your stay. They range from local breakfast baskets packed with fresh-baked pastries and homemade granola, to seasonal dishes that include organic gazpacho and Perche chipolatas.

(Or how about a plate of local cheeses and fresh baguettes, washed down with a glass or two of hand-selected Champagne… delicieux!)

If you’d like to meet the resident horses and learn more about them, you’ll have the option of booking a session with Sabine, who’ll gladly explain her caring approach as you sip freshly-made apple juice straight from her orchard. You could also arrange a meditative stroll: one glorious, silent hour of exploring the landscape with a friendly horse by your side.
