Just over two hours from Paris, Parcel Clos Normand is secluded on a cider orchard and completely surrounded by magical Normandy countryside, for a feeling of time slowing to a blissful standstill.

Particularly ideal for weary souls in need of rest and restoration, here your only neighbours are the meandering local wildlife… and perhaps a few inquisitive cows! Meanwhile, with no Wi-Fi or TV anywhere in sight, you can re-introduce yourselves to the simple charms and abundant beauty of nature, distraction-free.

Your Parcel itself is a sustainable Tiny House, eco-designed and furnished with every holiday convenience you could ask for.

These include a downy queensize bed, plus a cosy child’s futon to snuggle up on, each dressed in crisp, freshly-laundered sheets (there is additional room for a baby or toddler if needed, too).

There’s also an eco-shower to help morning freshen-ups along, and a well-equipped kitchen that means you can pack perfectly light. Additional heating can be provided too, so you’ll be toasty and snug even on the coolest of evenings.

What else could any self-respecting holidaymaker possibly need? Well, since you’re in France, how about a few local gastronomic delights? For starters, you could treat yourselves to a delicious breakfast of fresh bread and pastries with local butter, yogurt, and apple jam home-made on the farm.

You could also indulge in a traditional Norman snack-plate of andouillette sausage with mustard and rustic bread… washed down with a chilled glass of orchard-fresh cider – perfect when devoured outside on a balmy afternoon!

If you’re in the mood to be wowed, a sumptuous meal can be arranged at the Michelin-starred Manoir de Rétival in the nearby village of Caudebec-en-Caux; a truly breath-taking restaurant that overlooks the shimmering river Seine.

You’ll find an abundance of rural walking, hiking, and cycling trails in the local area, too – as easy or a challenging as you like. Perhaps stir your creative spirit in the idyllic landscapes of the Meanders of the Seine Regional National Park, which served as inspiration for painters including Turner and Boudin.

Oh, and a visit to the mesmerising chalk cliffs of Etretat, which form part of the mythical Alabaster Coast, is an absolute must… just make sure you bring your camera!

Closer to home, you can embark on a farm tour to learn more about cider-making and meet the friendly cows. But if all of the above sounds a little too energetic for such a relaxing holiday, you can simply pour another glass of cider and get lost in deep conversation, to a gentle soundtrack of leaves rustling in the Normandy breeze.
