Part of a sprawling country estate in the ancient village of Mayfield, Merrieweathers is set within 50 beautiful acres of gardens, woodlands and lakes, in a picture-perfect English rural setting.
Ideal for groups of up to 18 guests, here you’ll discover three charmingly converted buildings – the Stables, the Hayloft, and the Games Barn – that offer sumptuous comfort and giggle-fuelled entertainment in spades.
Indeed, the amenities you’ll find here are not only suited to every holiday taste, they’re almost endless… each one ready to inspire fascination and wonder from the moment you arrive.
Boasting glistening chandeliers, heated chestnut flooring, and French doors that welcome the outside in, the 50ft Great Hall is perfect for private parties. There’s a grand piano and a drop-down cinema screen for eclectic entertainment, and a dining table for that all-important celebration banquet.
Meanwhile, the glorious al fresco kitchen is a dreamy setting for relaxed barbecues by sunset… but don’t worry if it rains as there’s a fabulously well-equipped kitchen inside, too!
Accessed via the charming kitchen garden, the Games Barn comes complete with pool and football tables, darts, and air-hockey. With its very own private pub, cinema screen, and crackling log-burner, this is a place you may never want to leave.
Yet back outside awaits a heated outdoor swimming pool (summer use only), a lawn for ball games and croquet, outdoor draughts, and a shimmering fishing-lake… so it could be extremely difficult to decide exactly where you’ll spend your holiday time!
