Ideal for a romantic couple, the deluxe timber cabin also welcomes well-behaved pets, so no-one has to stay behind at home. This is the ultimate base for long, breezy coastal or clifftop walks all together, although once you’ve settled in you could find it difficult to leave!
‘Manderley’ is the name of the sumptuous estate in Daphne du Maurier’s iconic novel Rebecca. As such, you’ll find the compact interior worthy of an ornate country house, with vibrant, whimsical décor and stylish furniture throughout.
You’ll also have all the facilities you could want, in the form of a bespoke, well-equipped kitchen with sophisticated lighting and gleaming appliances, and a modern shower room for invigorating freshen-ups.
Even on overcast days, glass doors allow plenty of natural light to flood inside the cabin, and there’s plush-cushioned seating for chatting over home-prepared meals and drinks. Clever storage options reduce holiday clutter, and you’ll have a TV for snuggly evenings in.
Yet when the sun is shining, you’ll want to spend plenty of lazy hours in your private outdoor space; furnished with a breakfast-bar-style table and stools, and comfy bench seating – all strategically positioned for you to enjoy that sweeping, big-sky coastal scenery to soul-soothing effect.
The kingsize bedroom gives a sense of sleeping in a luxurious hotel room, with sleek wooden furniture and panelled walls adorned with well-chosen photography. When you wake, there’s plenty of space outside for a spot of morning yoga… a wonderful way to greet the sunrise, if you can get up early enough!

More information
What you’ll do with the rest of the day is completely your choice. Perhaps you’ll make the most of all that peaceful solitude and curl up with a good book – that one you never find time for at home – against an idyllic backdrop of cawing seagulls and flowing ocean waves.
You could also lace up your walking boots and head for the South West Coast Path – it will take around an hour to walk to bustling Bude – or pack a picnic and choose a favourite beach-spot to indulge. There’s ample scope to learn more about the area’s fascinating ‘smugglers’ history, too.
What else? Learn surfing for the first (or fiftieth!) time, jump in the car and pay a visit to picturesque villages, including Tintagel and Boscastle, or enjoy a slap-up feast at one of nearby Padstow’s many famed eateries.
