Step inside, and the luxury continues in spades. As you wander through the vast entrance hall, there’s a delicious sense that you’ve just arrived at your very own stately home.

Quaff catch-up cocktails in the grand lounge, open fire roaring in the background, to extend that glittering VIP-feel… especially if a musical someone can be tempted to play the piano as a gentle soundtrack. You could also throw the patio doors open and head outside, just in time to catch the evening sun melting into the loch.

Time to dine? You’ll find the kitchen gainfully equipped for feasts of all descriptions, including an electric Aga, not one but two ovens, and not one but two dishwashers to make light work of the clearing up – though catering can be arranged if you’d rather not cook at all. Or simply fire up the Big Green Egg barbecue for a sizzling supper, to be savoured in the private furnished garden.

Oh, and if you love playing games in the Great Outdoors, you’re in serious luck. With a choice of all-weather tennis, football, badminton, netball, volleyball, basketball, and boules on hand, you’ll never be bored! There’s also a five-hole professional putting green, for those who enjoy a good walk spoiled.

When it’s finally time for bed, you’ll get to choose from 10 elegant, individually-styled bedrooms: three en-suite rooms on the ground floor and five on the first. Stake your claim on the master room, and as well as an indulgent en-suite, you’ll get to relax in your very own sitting room… morning coffee has never been quite so opulent.

Two more bedrooms await in the courtyard, both with en-suite facilities, while the lower tower also hosts a large bedroom. All rooms are configured for couples, families, or friends – one features four single beds, so is perfect for a giggly sleepover!

What to do after a sound night’s sleep? You could arrange to hire a canoe or boat, complete with skipper, and explore the shimmering Loch Tummel at your leisure. Fishing is also permitted from the shoreline.

Otherwise, jump in the car – or get on your bike! – and explore Perthshire’s iconic ‘Big Tree Country’ to your hearts’ content, with a wealth of beautiful walks, cycle routes, and picnic spots all begging to be explored.

Yet since you’ll also find a friendly pub less than half a mile away from the house, you won’t have to wander very far at all – and that’s good, because you surely won’t want to.
