The first town ever to be created on the River Severn, Llanidloes has been named one of the best places to live in Wales, as well as one of its most attractive areas.
Surrounded by idyllic, unspoilt countryside, not to mention the river itself, and miles upon miles of stunning walking and cycling trails, it’s easy to see why.
And it’s right here that you’ll discover Llanidloes Hideaway, an authentic, storybook-styled hideaway with a turf-covered roof. Secluded on a four-acre smallholding, complete with friendly chickens, an orchard, and a shimmering pond that’s teeming with wildlife, it’s hard to imagine a more magical place to begin your romantic holiday tale!
Dreamily positioned in its very own wildflower meadow, you can step through the gleaming glass doors straight into the beautifully crafted roundhouse, which features an irresistibly cosy lounge, kitchen, and sleeping area.
Soft leather chairs, fluffy blankets, spotlights, and underfloor heating provide plenty of warmth and comfort, while curved, hand-painted walls and thoughtful extra touches add detail and interest.
Complete with a lovingly hand-crafted breakfast bar, you’ll find the bespoke kitchen area well equipped for romantic snacks and suppers, with a two-ring electric hob, microwave oven, and a fridge… in fact, why not treat yourselves to some homegrown vegetables and freshly laid eggs, too?
There’s no TV, but with scenery as wonderful as this, who needs one? However, should you feel like a break from the relaxing soundtrack of birdsong and babbling river, a radio and Bluetooth speaker will help you set the perfect mood.
