Looking for a tranquil rural setting to relax and reconnect in? Then you’ll find Huxham Hideaway, a pet-friendly studio space for up to four people, in an idyllic ten-acre meadow just a short drive from the Jurassic Coast.
Friendly owner Callum designed and converted the former shipping container himself, with a little help from friends and family. The result is a private and beautifully scenic home-from-home, filled with thoughtful touches and little luxuries that will make you feel welcome as soon as you step inside.
Callum and his family are on hand to show you around and answer any questions throughout your stay. With a fully insured doggy day care centre on their farm site, they can even help take care of your four-legged friend while you explore the area!
Discover a cosy lounge at the centre of your cabin, equipped with a squishy sofa bed and a crackling woodburner. You’ll find plenty of bespoke furnishings here too, including a handcrafted reading chair (what better excuse to pack that book you’ve never quite got around to opening yet?) and thoughtful additions that include books, games and a Bluetooth speaker.
Wander along to the well-equipped kitchen, topped with granite work surfaces and featuring a Nespresso machine for morning coffee and evening hot chocolate. Feast on those endless rolling countryside views as you sit outside at the hand-crafted oak table, or inside at the breakfast bar, on comfy stools made from antique pine.
You’ll find the kingsize, linen-dressed bed on a raised platform, perfect for waking up to views of the distant hills. The light-filled bathroom, its floor paved with gleaming pennies, is home to a refreshing power shower, complimentary toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels. You’ll also find robes and slippers provided, for that extra touch of indulgence!
Everything has been set up for you to enjoy long, lazy sunny afternoons outside, including a gas barbecue for sizzling suppers, a hammock for reading amongst birdsong, and an outdoor sofa and subtle mood lighting, for you to enjoy the first stars in the evening sky (after-dinner tipple optional!)
