A soothing, sumptuous and eco-friendly sanctuary, Exe Valley Glamping is the perfect retreat for those times when hectic everyday life gets a little too much.

Father-and-son team Robin and Patrick are your friendly hosts (together with Sparrow, their shaggy canine sidekick!) With over two decades of experience in hospitality, it’s safe to say they understand what makes a spectacular holiday – and that’s exactly what you can expect here.

The family farm measures 150 acres of the timeless countryside that mid-Devon is known for; rolling hills, whispering trees and blissfully secluded woodland. The village of Bickleigh is close by, complete with its romantic bridge and traditional thatched cottages.

Choose from a selection of purpose-built Exe Valley Glamping lodges, all using power from wood and solar energy to preserve the natural beauty of the local environment.

Inside, discover a crackling wood-burning stove (ideal for snuggling round with a drink by evening), a gas burner, and a small fridge for essentials – though if you don’t feel like cooking, why not heat up a delicious one-pot supper, delivered to your door? There’s also a barbecue and firepit, to help lazy summer evenings nicely along.

When it’s time to turn in, you can cocoon yourselves in the cosy duvets and downy pillows you’ll find in two bedrooms; one kingsize and one twin or superking, both with access to the family bathroom. Meanwhile, the kids will love the quirky double cabin bed, which features a canopy and hatched doors…a fun adventure in itself!

Wake up to the cheerful sound of morning birdsong, as you linger over a mug of fresh-ground coffee, and prepare breakfast from a hamper of mouthwatering local goodies.
