If you’re looking to try glamping for the first time, you’ll be in safe hands with Ekopod, one of the early adopters of the glamorous camping concept back in 2010.

Fast-forward to the present day and the Ekopod ethos – providing beautiful surroundings and friendly service – along with all the privacy you need to relax and enjoy time away from life whilst genuinely connecting with nature, is still going strong. Ekopod allows you to embrace a natural, more simple way of living without compromising on the luxury you expect from a well-deserved holiday.

Seven pods await, nestled in five lush acres of meadow and woodland, on the edge of Bodmin Moor – the perfect base from which to explore Cornwall.  The secluded farmland is abundant with wildlife and wildflowers, with the most amazing views of the rolling Cornish countryside built in. Take a deep breath of pure air and enjoy unsurpassed valley views, listening to the babbling stream as you enjoy a steaming mug of fresh coffee.

The seventeenth-century Old Vicarage, which appears in the Poem by Thomas Hardy ‘The Face at the Casement’ is situated next to the meadows, is welcomingly picturesque next to a large barn that houses a small honesty shop and a locker for each pod (with handy power sockets for charging phones etc)…oh, and the site’s friendly managers, Rachael and Matt – so you can rest assured that if you have any questions, help is on hand.

All you need to do now is choose your accommodation! There are four beautifully positioned, individually-styled geodomes; Eyl, Nessa, Pewara and Kensa, each sleeping up to four people, two boutique Safari tents; Kemper and Ebron, each sleeping up to eight people and Steren Pod for two – each lovingly designed and furnished for luxury, comfort and a sense of outdoor fun!

Each self-contained pod is set in its own private space, and houses a wood burning stove to keep you nice and cosy.  With an outdoor terrace, you’ll be assured of wonderful views whatever the time of day or night.  All seven of the pods are ensuite remove: and with a private kitchen next to the pod, and Kensa has a private bathroom and kitchen area in the barn.

The kitchen is equipped with a double ring burner and grill for light snacks or on days when you’re not using the barbecue (not very many, we’d imagine!).
