Perfectly set close to the coastal town of Burnham-on-Crouch, London is a mere hour away by train…yet you’ll feel worlds away from all that city bustle.

Each of the six self-catering barns comes complete with its own style and personality, sleeping two to eight people in outrageously indulgent comfort. Expect a perfect blend of traditional and modern, all set off by exposed beams, grand vaulted ceilings, creature comforts, and exquisite furnishings that will make you feel like a visiting VIP.

If you’re a cosy couple, the Hen House or Fisherman’s Lodge are wildly romantic barns that each sleep two people. The Hen House features a gorgeous stargazing bath, while Fisherman’s Lodge is equipped with a downy kingsize bed and an opulent bathroom with marble sink.

River View sleeps up to four people, furnished with antique pine and featuring light-attracting French doors that open out onto the brick paved courtyard. The Hay Loft and Swift Barn, meanwhile, sleep five, complete with mezzanine bedrooms, sparkling chandeliers, and irresistibly cosy sofas.

Last but by no means least, The Granary is the largest and grandest barn, sleeping up to eight people in four stunning ensuite bedrooms. With accessories including an enormous crystal chandelier, original artworks, and a gilt 17th century mirror, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped straight into a king’s country retreat.

If you’re bringing the whole family along, you can hire all the barns completely to yourselves – what bliss! There’s extra accommodation, too, in the form of the Lavender Room and the Garden Suite, two luxury hotel room retreats.

Meanwhile, you’ll never be stuck for things to do on site! For starters, you’ll have full access to the state-of-the-art gym and spa complete with hot tub and salt therapy room – and if you’re in the mood for some extra pampering, why not book a massage or beauty treatment?

The resident goats love to meet new friends, while the on-site café is the ideal hangout if you fancy leaving the cooking to someone else for a change. The kids will be happy too, with their own dedicated play area.

Dogs are permitted within the barns, please note that there is a small additional cost to add a dog to your booking and you are required to inform the property in advance. Onsite there is an epic wedding venue, The Canary Shed. which offers wedding weekends! Why settle for a wedding day when you can have a wedding weekend! Cots and highchairs are available upon request.
