Celebrating something special?

If you’ve got a group of your favourite friends, family or colleagues in tow, you’re going to need something more unique and memorable than the average break.

The Clockwork Hotel, enticingly secluded in the Essex yachting capital of Burnham-on-Crouch, offers just that. After all, where else can you arrive to a welcome glass of evening bubbles, then take part in a puzzle-solving, Crystal Maze-style group adventure…before settling down to a sumptuous three-course meal, signature cocktails, spa comforts, and cosy beds?

Your starting mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find the keys that will unlock your private hotel – against the ever-ticking clock. Unravel challenges, discover secrets, and take a peek around the rooms, working together as a team. We promise there’ll be plenty of giggles, groans, and heart-stopping moments as the clock counts you down. Don’t worry too, as you’ll still get to stay if you don’t find those keys!

Enjoy a private chef-created, three-course dinner straight afterwards, during which you can laugh, reconnect, and dissect that challenge strategy to your hearts’ content.

With eleven elegant king, twin and double bedrooms to choose from, the hotel sleeps up to 22 people in exclusive boutique comfort. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a living room with Smart TV and a crackling fireplace, plus a spa area with bubbling hot tub and sauna.

Not forgetting, of course, that fully-stocked cocktail bar, complete with your own personal bartender.

What the guests of The Clockwork Hotel say

“We recently stayed at the clockwork Hotel for my sisters 50th Birthday celebrations. The whole experience was fabulous from the games played to the three course meal provided by Lee (Feast catering company). The staff were attentive and good fun helping to put up all the decorations and being great bartenders into the early hours. Rooms were nice and clean with towels and toiletries provided. Finished with a big fry up the next morning from Lee who we had booked to cater for us again (well worth it). Overall the whole experience was brilliant.”

“Excellent hen night experience for a house full of hens! A fabulous night working as a team with family and friends unlocking puzzles to add to our hen night fun. Great for all our party haven’t laughed so much in ages. Staff were warm and friendly and helpful when we needed a helpful hint. Much appreciated x”

“We stayed at the Clockwork Hotel for New Year’s Eve. There were 13 of us. You have the place to yourselves. Drinks on arrival. An hour of ‘escape room’ style games. A superb 3 course meal following canapés. Cheese and biscuits later in the evening. Jacuzzi and sauna available. Bar open until you stop buying! Very comfortable rooms. I would love to write in detail but would hate to spoil the experience for others. A fabulous time had by all and we will definitely return.”
