Bukubaki Eco Surf Resort

Quirky accommodation and fresh-air adventure surrounded by unspoilt nature that's steps away from Portugal's finest surfing beaches.
  • Sleeps: 2-6
  • Bedrooms: Varies
  • Bathrooms: 1/2
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Perfect for adventurous spirits and nature lovers, Bukubaki Eco Surf Resort occupies an exclusive position in Peniche, a stunning Portuguese city that’s also known as ‘The Wave Capital’ for its long surfing beaches.

Surrounded by pine and eucalyptus trees, constructed from natural materials, and using renewable energies, the friendly, laid-back resort is also the ideal place to relax and reconnect with the natural world.

Not only can you enjoy invigorating activities like swimming, surfing, hiking and mountain-biking here, but also indulge in gentle yoga, meditation, and massage therapies.

Oh, and did we mention there’s a gorgeous Gastro Bar on site too – serving everything from classic cocktails to locally sourced vegan feasts?

Accommodation-wise, you can choose from a selection of cosy, nest-like Treehouses, or Canadian Rooms… otherwise known as enormous ‘gypsy’ tents. Furnished for comfort, there are choices for couples, families, and groups of friends. There’s even a ‘bungalow’ treehouse option that’s wheelchair accessible, so nobody has to miss out on all the fun.

Equipped with eco-heating and air conditioning, the luxurious, hanging Treehouses each sleep 4-6 guests, boasting private kitchenette and bathroom facilities. You’ll also discover a spacious, furnished sun terrace to watch the sunset from, as you cradle a delicious mug of hot chocolate (or a cheeky glass of wine.)

Meanwhile, the comfy Canadian Rooms are designed to emulate the back-to-basics simplicity of a camping holiday… except you won’t have to put your tent up in the rain! Elevated on a wooden deck, you’ll even find your Canadian Room elegantly equipped with downy beds and handcrafted furniture.
