There’s also a flatscreen TV and satellite system for snuggly evenings in, and a central heating system with air conditioning, to help you set the ideal temperature at any time of the year.
Generous facilities, meanwhile, include a kitchen with a three-burner stove and a microwave, and a bathroom with a deluxe shower stall, heated hand-towel holders, and a light-up mirror.
With access to the Airstream’s private garden, there’s plenty of scope to relax al fresco, too. Whether you’re sipping coffee as the morning sun streaks through the trees (you could be lucky enough to spot a playful deer), or unwinding around the firepit, toasting marshmallows under the star-filled sky, luxuriating in the Great Outdoors has never felt lovelier.
You won’t even have to worry if it rains, as you can simply hole yourselves up in the garden ‘pub’ – a sheltered, furnished space affectionately known as The Dog and Pheasant – and listen to raindrops drumming on the tin roof.
If you prefer a more social pub setting, no problem. A short stroll through the fields will lead you straight to The Mill at Elstead: a historic, food-serving country pub that also boasts a mezzanine art gallery showcasing local artists (the gallery’s curator, Beth, is a fine artist who just happens to be the Airstream’s friendly owner).

You could also head into the village itself to visit one of the 3 pubs and 2 cafes and soak up its history and heritage, or take one of the many country trails that surround you. A haven for walkers and cyclists, Elstead is situated in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while you can reach the enchanting New Forest National Park in an hour’s drive.
At the end of a long day doing exactly what you like, you’re free to watch the sun sink over the horizon with your tipple of choice, lost in laughter-fuelled conversation. All that’s left to do is let the Airstream’s ridiculously comfy bed lull you into a sound night’s sleep, to a gentle soundtrack of owls’ hoots, for pure holiday bliss.

“A perfect escape to the countryside in a classic Airstream. The Airstream is clean and cozy; well equipped with everything you need: the bed was very comfortable, the shower is a perfect size with great hot water and the kitchen has all the basics plus some. It’s literally the perfect tiny house, one could easily live in this! The Airstream view is very private and looks out onto fields with sheep grazing! An easy walk through the fields to a historic Mill pub and adorable village. Star gazing by the fire pit in the evening was a bonus. It did drizzle a bit, but I was able to move into the adjacent covered space, (adorably called the Dog & Pheasant pub) listened to the pitter-pat of the rain on the tin roof and even heard owls. There are so many beautiful country walks nearby I hope to return soon to do more. Don’t hesitate, add to your weekend adventure by staying in this Airstream, you won’t regret it.”
