The Merry Harriers is far from your everyday English inn. For starters, its characterful origins date all the way back to the 16th century. Then, consider its amazingly beautiful setting, in the Surrey Hills’ Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
And then…there’s the herd of lovely llamas, who live just behind the inn and who love to go trekking with new friends!
The five shepherd’s huts you’ll find here are perfectly placed around a tranquil pond, with soothing views across horse-dotted fields. Packed with luxury that’s reminiscent of a hotel suite, each hut comes equipped with a downy double bed, and a crackling log burner to warm your evenings (as well as underfloor heating). There’s also cosy seating, and an ensuite bathroom equipped with an indulgent rainfall shower and luxury toiletries.
Supreme attention to detail has been paid to your comfy surroundings, and you’ll find your every holiday need has been catered for. The handy kitchen corner comes complete with a Nespresso machine and a wine fridge (in which you’ll find a complimentary bottle of wine), and some tasty nibbles to get your break off to a delicious start.
Meanwhile, thoughtful little extras include a hair dryer and hot water bottles…so you can pack perfectly light.
Head outside to discover a firepit that’s ideal for marshmallow toasting under the stars, and teak sun loungers primed for curling up with a good book on a sunny afternoon.
Of course, you could always head out and immerse yourselves in the local area instead! You’re in the ideal base to explore the South Downs National Park and the Surrey Hills, with a wealth of invigorating walking and cycling routes all around.
