A daredevil stay aboard a military helicopter, secured on the site of the Dambusters' old training ground!
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedrooms: Open plan
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Sleeping two adventurous guests, you’ll find the Glamping Helipod on the site of RAF Wainfleet…aka the Dambusters’ old training ground.

The site is also home to the former RAF watch tower and is surrounded by a friendly, family-run farm, making it an ideal setting for a natureful break with a fun and quirky difference.

Head out on refreshing farm walks or exhilarating cycle rides in just about every direction…its time to clear out those cobwebs and enjoy life!

Meanwhile, the 20ft Lynx military helipod will take care of your need for holiday comfort. Decked in camouflage and situated in its own area of the site, you’ll feel as though you’re about to start a thrilling mission as you step on board.

Equipped with private facilities, you’ll also find plenty to help you relax, including soft bedding, a TV with DVD player, a mini fridge…and even toasty underfloor heating for those cooler evenings.

Enjoy morning coffee outside, in your own furnished garden area with expansive green views – it’s a fantastic spot for watching the sunset over evening tipples too! Later on, light the crackling firepit and get those marshmallows on standby.

If you’re in the mood for a competitive challenge (well, you are staying in a military helipod, after all) – why not head for the communal games room and try your hand at a darts match, pool, or a vigorous round of table tennis?
