Celebrating disruptive design and extreme creativity, ZERO Box Lodge is a unique accommodation concept, inspired by Japanese-style ‘capsule hotels.’

The second of the company’s iconic Portuguese locations (Porto being the first), ZERO Box Lodge Coimbra occupies a former garage, originally built in the 1930s and beautifully situated on the UNESCO World Heritage-designated Mondego river front.

With the original architecture carefully preserved, the characterful space has been transformed into an innovative urban retreat, complete with a laid-back restaurant and bar.

Ground-floor rooms consist of simple, windowless wooden boxes that encourage true rest and relaxation. Fully air-conditioned, your room is furnished with a comfy linen-dressed bed and plump pillows.  You’ll also have a private bathroom, gainfully stocked with towels and toiletries.

Fully refreshed and revived, you’re free to enjoy shimmering river views from the buzzing first-floor social space, cocktail in hand!
