If you love the great outdoors but find your tent-pitching skills are more Bungle the Bear than Bear Grylls, come and claim your unique glamping haven at Wardley Hill, a rustic six-acre ecological campsite in the Waveney Valley. Located right on the edge of the idyllic Norfolk Broads, the area is renowned for its peaceful surroundings and timeless natural beauty.

At Wardley Hill the vibe is calm and informal, with all tastes catered for. How about a tranquil getaway in the Tinkers hut, or perhaps some forest bathing in a Tentsile tree tent?

Wardley Hill has it all covered in this eco-friendly paradise, which features three clean composting toilets made from reclaimed timber, a waterless urinal, recycling facilities and two open-topped showers with plenty of piping hot water. Fire drums made from old washing machines are readily available, should you feel the need to prepare a feast of S’mores or just enjoy the crackling of the flames.

This friendly, laid-back site boasts a gentle stream, and you’ll be surrounded by woodland full of wild sweet-scented foliage for the birds and bees to enjoy, as you watch them and the world go by from the comfort of your tent. There’s plenty of space for energetic outdoor family games in an adjoining field, and you can even bring the dog along.

Away from the site, you’ll find plenty of absorbing ways to spend your time, with the Waveney Valley’s plentiful nature reserves, military museum and stately homes all to explore. The nearby Beccles Lido features an invigorating open-air swimming pool – and don’t miss out on a river trip aboard the Big Dog Ferry!

All you have to do now is choose from one of Wardley Hill’s unique ecological glamping experiences – or stay in a deluxe, off-grid Tiny House.

Perfect for two adults, the dog-friendly Tiny House is the newest retreat: a two-storey, off-grid cabin with a private garden, self-contained facilities, and soothing paddock views from the kingsize bed.  Butter-soft leather chairs will keep you comfy by evening as you chat by the soft-glowing woodburning stove – perhaps accompanied by a chilled bottle of wine.
