More information

There are also three glorious cabins to choose from. Discover The Dipping Shed on the edge of the arboretum, gently elevated for beautiful forest views.

A converted and characterful timber cabin that sleeps up to four, this is a blissfully remote space that features an open-plan layout, two rustic bedrooms – one accessed by a ladder staircase – and a crackling wood-burning stove.

Wheelwright’s Shop, meanwhile, is a craftsmen’s workshop that dates all the way back to 1840, boasting amazing views over the lake. Once a bustling hive of creative activity, these days you’ll find a cosy, quirkily-furnished space with a gorgeous handmade staircase. Featuring a comfy double bed (and a double sofa bed), this really is the perfect romantic retreat.

Finally, the wonderfully unique Norbury Hall is secluded within the estate’s walled garden, sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms. Once the local community’s Village Hall, the wooden-cladded cabin features a private patio and a veranda…ideal for al fresco afternoon cocktails, or sunrise-watching over morning coffee.

Spend your days reconnecting with your loved ones, playing lord of the manor as your stroll through the grounds, or enjoying a well-deserved drink in the on-site pub, The Powis Arms.  Whichever you choose, you’re bound to agree that break spent on the Walcot Hall Estate is a uniquely exquisite experience that really should be sampled more than once.
