A childhood dream made enchantingly real, the Oakey Koakey Treehouse is the perfect hideaway for small families in need of a woodland retreat (yet still enjoying all those essential creature comforts!)
You’ll find the secluded Oakey Koakey Treehouse in Downash Wood, set within five gloriously secluded acres of East Sussex woodland designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Though you’ll feel as though you’ve been spirited magically away from your stressful daily lives, your treetop home is in fact a mere hour away from London – making this an ideal spot for nature-loving City dwellers!
There’s plenty of space in your private meadow for the kids to explore and let their imaginations run wild. Meanwhile, the adults can keep watch from the spacious wooden decking, equipped with comfy chairs and scenic countryside views. Relax amongst the whispering oak treetops with a glass of wine, and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the resident deer or badgers!
The treehouse itself blends beautifully with its rural surroundings, with distressed oak wood and soft-toned décor creating an instantly relaxing atmosphere. The open-plan living, dining and sleeping space has a light and bright Scandi-style feel, with plenty of space to lounge with a book.
A downy king-sized bed awaits when it’s time to turn in, while the kids’ bunk room is all natureful adventure! A silver birch branch ladder and bird box hangers add plenty of fun, turning the room into a mini treehouse all of its own.
Well-placed windows mean you can enjoy those spectacular views whatever the weather happens to be like. With a well-equipped kitchen inside, you can choose whether to eat in, or head down to the firepit and barbecue below for a sizzling supper under the stars.
