Built in 1926, The Meeting Hall is an ideal escape for couples and small families looking for something different from the average Welsh rural break.

Positioned in the sleepy hamlet of Pantygelli, just three miles from bustling Abergavenny, you’ll occupy the perfect place from which to explore the magical countryside in this beautiful part of the country, with landmarks including the Black Mountains and Offa’s Dyke Path in easy walking reach.

(Oh, and did we mention that the hall is just opposite a popular gastro pub, too?)

A former Sunday School hall, the charming space is sociably open plan and redolent of its past, with the original wooden floorboards and wood-panelled walls. Sleeping up to four guests, both bedrooms (a kingsize and a twin that can also be made into a kingsize if needed) are en-suite… so there’ll be no awkward morning queues.

There’s a gorgeous decked veranda if you’re staying put, and two enclosed paddocks that are perfect for exercising your four-legged friends!

Otherwise, after a long day of immersing yourselves in the wondrous Welsh countryside, simply light the wood-burner effect fire by evening, and relax with a glass of something lovely.
