More information

Reminiscent of a five-star hotel suite, the kingsize bedroom and opulent bathroom are steeped in luxury. You’ll find the downy bed irresistibly dressed in Egyptian cotton, while the bathroom features a walk-in shower along with the aforementioned roll-top bath…and of course, plenty of fluffy white towels to wrap yourselves in.

While it’s tempting to hole yourselves up completely in The Hideaway, there’s plenty to see and do in the surrounding area if you feel like venturing out.

You could start by taking the footpath that leads you from the cottage, straight to an award-winning gastropub in nearby Hinton St. George! Another leads you to the antique shop-filled market town of Crewkerne, or if you feel like travelling slightly further afield, you can jump in the car and reach the awe-inspiring World Heritage Jurassic Coast within half an hour.

You can indulge in a spot of adrenaline-fuelled activity too, from archery and horseriding, to golf and polo…and you’ll even have the opportunity to take an electric bike tour of the local area.

There’s a luxury spa close by too, along with the famed River Cottage, which offers cookery courses and memorable dining experiences.

Why not plan your holiday activities as you stargaze around the crackling evening firepit, well-deserved glass of wine in hand?

(Of course, with the local village shop willing to deliver all the supplies you’ll need during your stay, you may want to simply hide yourselves blissfully away from the world – and there’s no harm in that, is there?)
