Full description
A welcoming, eco-friendly glamping site with eclectic accommodation, peacefully secluded amongst private woodland in Snowdonia National Park.

Nestled amongst seven glorious acres of private woodland, lakes, and streams, Nyth Robin is a refreshing slice of unspoilt rural paradise on the west coast of Wales.

Perfectly located for explorers and fresh-air adventurers alike, you can immerse yourselves in natural delights that include the rolling hills of Snowdonia National Park, and the shimmering Dyfi Estuary.

Yet you'll have to tear yourselves away from your tranquil and well-thought-out accommodation first, which could prove difficult!

Offering something for absolutely everyone - pets included - there's plenty of choice to be found at Nyth Robin, along with spotlessly clean, eco-friendly facilities.

Perfect for young families who can't bear to leave their best four-legged friend at home, Betty is a 1980 Bedford horse lorry, beautifully transformed into a quirky and comfortable space for up to four guests... including fun bunk beds for the kids.

A homely vintage caravan straight from the 1960s, stylish Cerys features a hand-painted woodland exterior and soft furnishings that are ideal for a cosy couple (plus one child from 2- 10 years old, if you can't find a babysitter!)

Complete with a romantic chimenea outside, and a soft-glowing wood-burning stove inside, the shepherd's-style glamping hut is a gloriously rustic escape for two.

Named Gwdihw - pronounced "good-e-hoo" - which is Welsh for ‘owl', you can expect to see and hear plenty of wildlife from your secluded woodland spot. Oh - and you'll also have your own private compost loo.

Prefer unwinding under canvas? There are two lovingly furnished, dog-friendly bell tent options to choose from; Bluebell, who sleeps four guests, and Foxglove who sleeps eight across two separate tents.

(Aside from being ridiculously cosy, the tents offer flexible accommodation options. For example, Bluebell and Foxglove can be booked together to sleep a maximum of 12 - just ask!)

Last but by no means least is the site's newest addition; an elegant, hand-crafted yurt named Bert that sleeps up to six guests and up to two well-behaved dogs.

As if all that choice wasn't quite enough, you could always opt to bring your own caravan, campervan, or motorhome along for the ride instead! The site's nine touring pitches all feature electric hook-up and easy access to the shared facilities.

Accommodation chosen, you're blissfully free to explore. Head into the charming seaside village of Aberdyfi (or Aberdovey if you insist on the English version!) for coastal scenery and a fish-and-chip supper, or browse the traditional street market in nearby Machynlleth, a short drive away.

The Dyfi valley, designated a Biosphere by UNESCO, contains three protected habitats and a wealth of conservation projects, making it a special place to visit that's a perfect complement to the special holiday setting you've found in Nyth Robin.

Things to note

Minimum 2-night stay (except bank holidays 3 night minimum, and summer holidays). Accommodation is available from March to November, aside from the bell tents which are available from Easter to September. Dogs are permitted to stay in designated pet-friendly accommodation for a small additional charge.

Tried and tested

Betty Horsebox - "We stayed in Betty at Nyth Robin for 4 nights and had the most amazing time. Betty has been brilliantly converted with buckets of character, plug sockets, cooking space and lacks nothing. The equipment provided is all great quality and makes for an easy time. The hosts provide wood for the fireplace and log burner. The toilet/shower/washing up block is spotless and well designed. The site itself is lovely, set on a wooded hillside opposite the estuary - perfect for walks. We didn't want to leave."

Cerys Vintage Caravan - "Such a lovely, cosy caravan, thoughtfully finished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Facilities were really clean also. Beautiful woodland surroundings and not far from the beach too!"

Gwdihw Hut - "Loved our stay in the hut, both inside and outside were fantastic. Log fire again inside and out. A beautiful campsite with a beautiful surrounding area. There isn't a negative comment we can make, if we had to it would be that we had to leave. Definitely recommend this campsite and can't wait to revisit."
