A fresh, friendly glamping site offering some of the most imaginative accommodation in the UK - including a UFO! - all nestled in the calm heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside.

Glamping isn't necessarily a new concept, yet with a break spent at Apple Camping, you'll discover something truly unique on this refreshingly alternative site in the Pembrokeshire countryside, situated right next to a working farm.

After all, where else could you rest your heads in a futuristic UFO? Bespoke-constructed by talented Tenby craftspeople and sleeping up to four people, this is a holiday home that's out of this world.

Featuring eight windows that look out over lush green land, you'll find plenty to enjoy on board your craft, including a gaming monitor for those 80's classics (Space Invaders, anyone?)...and even an escape hatch if it all gets too much!

How about bedding down in first-class accommodation? The Jet Star is an authentic plane built in the 70s that once carried up to nine passengers. These days, it sleeps up to four people in unparalleled mid-air style luxury, complete with the plane's original lighting, a bar area, and even an Xbox loaded with in-flight games!

You'll also find plenty of traditional glamping accommodation amongst the chocolate-box assortment to be found here. The Funky Dome, as its name suggests, is a geodesic dome cosily equipped with giant beanbags and colour-changing lights, alongside a warming woodburner.

The Showman's Caravan, uniquely decorated with mosaic mirrors and blue neon lights, is filled with a bohemian sense of life lived on the open road, while the Witch's Hat - an insulated log cabin with a pointed roof - allows you to wake up with all the magic of the countryside quite literally on your doorstep!

Relaxed Bella Bell Tent sleeps up to four people, complete with contemporary additions that include electricity and WiFi, and you'll find a cosy collection of beautifully furnished yurts - Rosebud, Pippin and Orchard - all individually styled to suit couples, families and friends. These are the perfect introduction to glamping for those who have never taken the plunge!

You'll find plenty of facilities on site, with a spacious communal shower and toilet block with plenty of piping hot water. The barbecue area with seating is ideal for catching up with all those friends you haven't met yet, while communal kitchen and laundry areas make life (not to mention packing!) much easier.

Now it's time to explore! From wildlife watching to a day spent at Wales' Number One beach at Barafundle, you'll find plenty to do for everyone. How about heading out to Freshwater West, a sandy beach location used for filming Hollywood blockbusters including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows? Tenby, a pretty seaside town close by, is also well worth a visit.

Of course, there are plenty of ‘off the beaten track' places to explore in the local area too. Your friendly hosts, born and raised in Pembrokeshire, will have plenty of suggestions for you!

After a hard day's exploring, where better to come home than to the sanctuary of Apple Camping - just in time to catch that blazing sunset and the first stars appearing in the vast, unpolluted evening sky? All that's left to do now is put the kids to bed, then relax with a glass or two of something lovely. Cheers!
