Glamping isn’t necessarily a new concept, yet with a break spent at Apple Camping, you’ll discover something truly unique on this refreshingly alternative site in the Pembrokeshire countryside, situated right next to a working farm.

After all, where else could you rest your heads in a futuristic UFO? Bespoke-constructed by talented Tenby craftspeople and sleeping up to four people, this is a holiday home that’s out of this world and was featured on This Morning’s ‘Staycation Showdown’ for its wow factor element!

Featuring eight windows that look out over lush green land, you’ll find plenty to enjoy on board your craft, including a gaming monitor for those 80’s classics (Space Invaders, anyone?)…and even an escape hatch if it all gets too much!

How about bedding down in first-class accommodation? The Jet Star is an authentic plane built in the 70s that once carried up to nine passengers. These days, it sleeps up to four people in unparalleled mid-air style luxury, complete with the plane’s original lighting, a bar area, and even an Xbox loaded with in-flight games!

What else? Well, if you’re looking for ‘traditional’ glamping accommodation with a retro twist, Pac-Man is a bright yellow, Tardis-like geodome with a huge west-facing window (that looks just like Pac-Man’s mouth!) Generously donated, Tonic the Gin Palace is a 30ft Italian yacht that allows you to savour the opulence of setting sail on the sun-dappled Med… without getting seasick!

Meanwhile the Witch’s Hat – an insulated log cabin with a pointed roof – allows you to wake up with all the magic of the countryside quite literally on your doorstep.

Relaxed Bella Bell Tent sleeps up to four people, complete with contemporary additions that include electricity and WiFi, and you’ll find a cosy collection of beautifully furnished yurts – Rosebud, Pippin and Orchard – all individually styled to suit couples, families and friends. These are the perfect introduction to glamping for those who have never taken the plunge!
