If you’re tired of the same old costumes and ‘trick-or-treat’ routines every year, why not ‘treat’ your family to a Hallowe’en-themed escape?

We’ve rounded up some favourite stays, all of which will be sporting spooky décor, and/or will be hosting fun-filled family-friendly activities for All Hallows Eve!

Fairytale Glamping (Bourne, Lincolnshire)
A lovingly hand-made ‘castle’ for fun family stays, complete with off-grid facilities and child-friendly adventures.

(10% discount available for Scary-tale Glamping with code HALLOWEEN10)
Fairytale Glamping will transform into ‘Scary-tale’ glamping throughout the half-term holidays, with family-friendly decorations galore!

The one-and-a-half acre woodland Bramble Patch will also turn into the ‘Pumpkin Patch’ on weekends, packed with games and activities for guests and visitors alike.

By the Wye (Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire)
A warmly welcoming, family-run glamping site with off-grid safari tent accommodation.

A half-term Hallowe’en stay By the Wye will include an enchanted woodland trail and bushcraft sessions, a scavenger hunt and nature walk, and a pumpkin-carving workshop.

If you dare, you can also take the spooky treasure hunt trail of Hay-on-Wye!

Tom’s Eco Lodge (Yarmouth, Isle of Wight)
Sustainable, eclectic outdoor accommodation and family adventures on Tapnell Farm.

Hallowe’en at Tom’s Eco Lodge is all about one thing: a celebration of the pumpkin! The Pumpkin Festival runs through the half-term holidays, and consists of unusual activities including pumpkin-flinging and pumpkin-bowling.

Of course, you can also pick your favourite pumpkin from the Patch and get carving, too… to a backdrop of live music and pumpkin-flavoured drinks!

There’ll also be a range of other spooky activities, including a scavenger hunt, fortune-telling, and a guided Slime Workshop that the kids are sure to love.

Malting Farm (Little Bentley, Essex)
Secluded on 300-acre family-run farm, with a treehouse, a cabin, and bell-tent retreats with private hot tubs

(5% late availability discount available)

Each child will receive a free pumpkin to carve right in their cabin, so there’ll be no standing around in the cold trying to pick a favourite!

However, if you do feel like braving the weather, you’ll find a magical nature-trail on site, deliciously strewn with hidden pumpkins and chocolatey treats.

Sweet Donside Cabins (Strathdon, Aberdeenshire)
A selection of hand-crafted retreats with private hot tubs, secluded amongst the Cairngorms National Park

The spectacular mountain scenery will be brought even further to life with the addition of magical Hallowe’en-themed décor.

Oh, and alongside a delicious welcome basket of local treats, you’ll also be greeted with your very own pumpkin!

Ekopod (Launceston, Cornwall)
An early-adopter of glamping, consisting of geodomes, pods, tents, and a converted stone barn in Cornwall’s ‘Peaceful Valley’

Arrive during the half-term holidays, to be welcomed with scrummy marshmallows (perfect for toasting over the firepit as you tell ghost stories!) and a pumpkin-carving kit… pumpkin included, of course.

We’ve included links to all these properties below, along with a few other suitably spooky options!
