New to Host Unusual: Go wild at Port Lympne with unbelievable safari stays

We are going a bit wild today at the arrival of some fascinating additions to our collection where you can get within close range of incredible animals including bears, tigers, rhinos, cheetahs and more! Working in conjunction with a renowned animal conservation charity to protect endangered wildlife and eventually return them to the wild, PortLympne is a wildlife sanctuary spread across 600 acres with a backdrop of the stunning Kent coastline. Discover a range of unusual and excitingaccommodation, including safari tents and luxury lodges, and even wake to animals outside your door!

Tiger Lodge

A unique experience like no other, here you can see the world from a tiger’s perspective and be just whiskers away from some of the most intriguing and ferocious wild cats in the world. The lodgehas truly unique and breathtaking ceiling to floor windows looking out to the tiger enclosure, and inside the style is much like an African safari lodge – think trunk coffee tables, Chesterfield sofas and crackling log burners, as well as comfortable bedrooms sleeping a familyof four. What’s more, you’ll have a private balcony overlooking the English channel and if you’re lucky, the distant twinkling lights of theFrench coast at night time.

Livingstone Lodge

Step inside your own luxurious safari tent,evoking the spirit of an African safari, set aloft on its own private and elevated wraparound deck with views over the reserve. Livingstone Lodge offers sheer indulgence under canvas and the chance to watch zebra, giraffes, wildebeest and antelope all drink from the watering hole overlooked by your private glamping retreat. As part of your experience you’ll enjoy ranger guided safaris (starting with a glass of chilled bubbly), access to the Port Lympne Reserve, entry to Howlett’s Park and evening safari walks, as well as breakfast and lavish four-course dinners prepared on a fire-pit.

Bear Lodge

Prepare your yourself for a roar-ing adventure at Bear Lodge. Asif magically teleported from the Serengeti, your magnificent tent comeswell equipped to banish any pre-conceived ideas you have of traditionalcamping; solid decked floors, full height ceilings, wood burner, kitchen and more. The front deck is the perfect place for a sundowner – you can witness the frolics of the spectacled bears in their paddock as you relax, with the glorious coastline and horizon as a backdrop. With access to the reserve, you’ll come face to face with the 700 animals awaiting rehabilitation, an experience the whole family will never forget.

Treehouse Hotel

Awaken high up in the tree canopy to the sounds of animals starting their day … where else can you do this so close to home than at Port Lympne’s sumptuous Treehouse Hotel?The accommodation here is comprised of luxury award-winning suites featuring huge open-plan living areas with wall-to-wall glass frontage, mini-bars, wood-clad walls, animal artworks and even your own buggy – a true VIP forest escape! Your fully-furnished balcony will overlook the rhino and cheetah paddocks, so you can spy on your favourite animals from up high, and all accommodation options here have access to the excellent Treehouse Clubhouse to unwind in after a busy day of animal encounters.
