You may have noticed that Host Unusual has had something of a slick brand makeover in recent months.
To celebrate the launch of our lovely new website, we’ve teamed up with Vintage Books, in a stylish double-whammy giveaway that combines thrilling stays (in a hip Amsterdam crane apartment or an ex-service SeaKing helicopter in Yorkshire) with a book-bundle featuring the most iconic secret agent of all time, James Bond.
Luckily, you won’t have to complete any heart-stopping missions to win these amazing prizes! Hosted via Instagram and Gleam, the competitions will run concurrently from 21st April to 5th May, giving you plenty of time to enter both.

Entering the competitions
Participants may enter the competitions online via the Gleam entry form (SeaKing helicopters) on our blog post, or via Instagram (Amsterdam The Crane by Yays). Entry is free, and participants may only enter once via each of the entry methods available.
Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party other than those specified above.
No responsibility is accepted by the Host Unusual or its associates for lost, delayed or damaged data which occurs during any communication or transmission of entries.
The Prizes
Instagram competition with Amsterdam The Crane by Yays:
The main prize is based on up to 2 adults sharing a stay of 2 consecutive nights at Amsterdam The Crane by Yays. Non refundable, non transferable, entrants 18 years and over. The prize cannot be exchanged for its monetary value and no correspondence will be entered into. Subject to availability & black-out dates apply. Public holidays are excluded. Flexible booking conditions: up to 14 days before arrival you can change your stay. Voucher is valid for stays until 30th December 2023. Please note local city taxes would still apply and are 3 Euro per person per night. Host Unusual Ltd will contribute £100 towards travel costs from the UK, paid direct to the winner on booking their stay (booking confirmation will be required). Winner will also receive a book bundle from Vintage Books – please note that the winner’s contact details will be passed to Vintage Books for this purpose.
Gleam competition with SeaKing Helicopter Glamping:
The main prize is based on up to 2 adults and 3 children (aged 13 and under), sharing a stay of 2 consecutive nights at SeaKing Helicopter Glamping at Pinewood Park in Yorkshire. The stay must be taken by 31st October 2023, excluding bank holidays & subject to availability & normal booking T&Cs. Non refundable, non transferable, entrants 18 years and over. The prize cannot be exchanged for its monetary value and no correspondence will be entered into. Winner will also receive a book bundle from Vintage Books – please note that the winner’s contact details will be passed to Vintage Books for this purpose.
Both competitions:
For each competition, there is a runners up prize of a book bundle of Anthony Horowitz’s James Bond novels from Vintage Books – please note that the winner’s contact details will be passed to Vintage Books for this purpose. Posted free, for residents living within the UK and Northern Ireland only. No cash alternative. Not refundable, not transferable.
The winners will be drawn at random under independent supervision from all valid entries received. The winners will be notified by email within 3 working days and will have 7 days from the date the notification was sent to claim their prize.
In the event that a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within the timescale required, the winner shall forfeit their prize and the Host Unusual reserves the right to offer the prize to another participant of the competition.
Host Unusual reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or cancel the competition at any stage in the event of circumstances arising beyond its control.
By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions, and Host Unusual reserves the right to disqualify participants who it considers to have not complied with any of these terms and conditions; or any participant who it reasonably believes has interfered with the fair running of this Promotion.
