While you might have guessed that Yurt Reynolds pays tribute to the late Hollywood actor, Burt Reynolds, you may not know that Burt was a pioneer of al fresco living and an early adopter of yurt-life.

Many’s the time Burt would leave the bright lights of Hollywood far behind to relax in one of his hand-crafted yurts, nestled deep in the Californian canyons.

Now you can do the (sort-of) same: leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life far behind to relax at Yurt Reynolds, nestled deep in the Cotswolds woodland!

Your surroundings certainly couldn’t be lovelier. Described as a “perfect pastoral idyll”, Westley Farm is set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and comprises 70 sublime acres of Cotswold countryside.

A roomy 16-foot diameter canvas haven, Yurt Reynolds sleeps up to two adults, two children, and their best canine companion in perfect comfort, with plenty of comfy styling and quirky accessories to remind you of the simple pleasures of outdoor life.

Inside there’s a downy double bed and two single futons for the kids, in a peaceful sanctuary that all but guarantees a sound night’s sleep. For more relaxation and a huge helping of fun, just step outside.

Here you’ll find a generous deck to relax and watch the local wildlife from – you could spot everything from grazing deer and playful rabbits to soaring birds of prey and rare butterflies – and a well-equipped camp kitchen-under-canvas.

Bathing takes on new levels of blissfulness here, too. A soothing canvas-and-wood bathhouse is home to a gorgeous roll-tub tub, firebowl and thunderbox loo… and as if that wasn’t quite enough, there’s a dreamy wood-fired hot tub for stargazing.

Free of distraction and irritation, if you don’t feel like moving a muscle during your stay, so be it! But those who want to explore can simply wander through the magical ancient woodland, along tracks that lead to the canal below, with some wonderful picnic-spots to discover.

You can reach the nearest pub, café and farm shop in a 20-minute stroll, while heritage-steeped Stroud and its famous farmers’ market is just four miles away, with Cirencester and Minchinhampton also in easy reach.
