  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Nestled high on a hillside, amongst historic garden woodland that overlooks the breath-taking Start Bay coastline, wildcomfort is a magical secret waiting to be discovered.

Laid-back owners Tim and Lou are passionate about sustainability and exploration, which is why their creative, cleverly-designed Birdhouse cabins are both blissfully off-grid, and perfectly placed for you to immerse yourselves in the wild, glorious South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coastline.

But they’re also passionate about style and comfort, which is why each Birdhouse features a private bathroom cabin with eco-toiletries and high-tech facilities (no composting loos here!), a biofuel fireplace to warm chilly nights, and a private deck that showcases the most spectacular natural views you can imagine.

Rather stay inside? Your Birdhouse’s expertly-crafted round window means you can snuggle up and be entertained by the ever-changing sky; whether it’s dramatic storm clouds gathering over the coast, or the golden sun melting into the horizon.

What else? There’s a large, downy double bed to curl up in when you finally say goodbye to the day, dressed in sustainably-produced linen and locally-sourced, 100% merino wool duvets.

Meanwhile, your in-cabin kitchen facilities include a gas hob, a cool-box, and hot and cold running water. And although your Birdhouse is a Wi-Fi and electricity-free zone, you can still charge your phone and give your evenings an irresistible glow with power direct from the sun… adding to that wonderful sense of being at one with these incredible surroundings.

Once you’ve settled in, why not head to the Captain’s Cabin to chat with friends you haven’t met yet? Beautifully crafted from locally-sourced, sustainable larch, you’ll find the sociable, sea-view cabin deliciously tucked away in the woodland, amongst gently-rustling magnolia and cork trees.
