Wild Cabins Kinvara is the perfect escape for weary souls who want to leave the stresses of everyday life (not to mention their phones and laptops) far behind.

Each minimalist, off-grid cabin sleeps two guests, and is beautifully secluded in the midst of Burren Nature Sanctuary: a 50-acre organic farm in County Galway that’s home to protected wetland, soothing wildflowers, native woodland… and friendly animals that include adorable fairy pigs.

There’s no Wi-Fi here, so you’re free to laze outside in the sun-soaked garden all day long, perhaps firing up the barbecue for a sizzling supper. On rainy days, simply curl up inside by the enormous panoramic window, with the warming log-burner and a bottle of wine for company.

Your chosen cabin also features basic kitchen facilities, and a shower room to freshen up in, so you won’t have to move so much as a muscle if you don’t want to.

If you do feel like getting out and meeting the neighbours, a Fairy Pig Walk is just the thing, with Mary the experienced guide and Emilia the gorgeous Juliana pig leading the way! Make a wish at the Fairy Wishing Well, and meet more of the lovely resident animals, including Frisky the goat and Frank the llama, to name just a couple.
