Naturally peaceful and beautiful, Two Hoots Glamping Site is home to diverse visiting wildlife – most of whom have names – and adults-only accommodation with plenty of wide-open space to savour.

You’ll find the picture-perfect site nestled on a Hampshire hilltop, with panoramic views that lead your gaze across lush green fields, all the way out towards the South Downs National Park.

A mere five-minute stroll from the historic Watercress Line; a heritage steam railway line first opened in 1865, there’s plenty to explore in the local area. Yet you’ll have to leave Two Hoots Glamping Site first, and that could prove a challenge!

Simply make your choice from two cosily-furnished shepherd’s huts and two inviting glamping pods, each sleeping two adults in welcoming home-style comfort.

Named Lazy Days and Keeper’s Cosy, the shepherd’s huts each boast a furnished veranda for scenic morning coffee (perhaps with the occasional visit from Frank the pheasant!) and a wood-burning stove and Smart TV for snuggly evenings in.

You’ll have a kingsize bed to curl up in at the end of a long day’s exploring – or doing nothing, whichever you prefer – and there’s an en-suite shower room for invigorating morning freshen-ups. Meanwhile, romantic feasts can be whipped up in the fully-equipped kitchen, or out on the barbecue stand… perfect for a sizzling supper by sunset.

Hobbit’s Lodge and Snuggle Wood are the two pods; ideal for those who want a fresh rural experience that’s most akin to camping under the stars – only with a little added luxury!

More information

Equipped with a downy kingsize bed and an electric heater, you’ll also have hot drink-making facilities and a private toilet with hand-basin, so there’ll be no awkward morning queues or midnight dashes. Since linen and towels are provided too, you can pack perfectly light.

Simply make your way to the well-equipped guest kitchen and piping hot shower block for meals and freshen-ups… maybe saying a friendly hello to the Squezzles – or the cheeky resident squirrel family – on your way!

Wherever you choose to stay, there will be many more wildlife visitors for you to meet, including swooping red kites, Kanga the hare (so named because he looks like a kangaroo when standing on his back legs in the wild meadow field) and Stealth the majestic stag, who often appears in the fields when you least expect him to!

If you’re keen to get out and about, there’s a wealth of walking, jogging, and cycling routes to explore, while the pretty Georgian market town of Alresford, peppered with boutique shops and friendly pubs, is just ten minutes away.

The site itself is set within the sleepy village of Bighton, in easy walking distance of a pub and a restaurant. Let someone else do the cooking for a change; timing your return to Two Hoots Glamping Site just as the stars – and the resident glow worms – herald another magical evening.

Things to note
