A blissfully off-grid, hand-built Amazing Space with an enormous picture window that looks out over miles of unspoilt, wildlife-steeped Devon countryside
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Featured on the popular Channel Four TV show, George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, Twit for Twoo is the ultimate romantic escape into nature.

Secluded on a scenic Devon cattle farm, the off-grid wooden cabin was hand-built by owners Stuart and Charli along with local carpenter friends, using sustainable materials from the farm and surrounding woodlands. They’ve also imbued the space with a creative owl-theme that more than lives up to its playful name!

You’ll find a traditional Devon cream tea waiting for you on arrival, and what better way to savour it than by gazing out over that wildlife-steeped valley… whether through the huge picture window, or out on the furnished deck?

Later, while away some idle time in the net hammock, armed with a good book. Make sure the story isn’t too absorbing, though, since you’re likely to keep looking up whenever a deer or rabbit idles its way past! Meanwhile, your soothing soundtrack consists of rustling leaves, birdsong… and perhaps an occasional moo from the resident cows.

Back inside, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen to help you rustle up home-cooked feasts galore. If you’re in the mood to treat yourselves even more, fresh produce boxes from the farm and neighbouring farm shops can be ordered in advance of your stay, along with tasty hampers, and even hot meals if you don’t feel like cooking.

Light the wood-burner inside to feel ridiculously cosy, or the firepit outside to help you welcome in the stars… just add a bottle of wine, a few marshmallows for toasting, and some laughter-fuelled conversation. Who knows, you might even catch sight of a curious owl swooping through the undergrowth!

When it’s finally time to turn in, there’s a comfy double bed on the mezzanine, dressed in crisp linen, toasty blankets, and butter-soft cushions. Enjoy a sound, silent night’s sleep, then freshen up in the shower, complete with plenty of piping hot water.
